Big Changes at Junk Removal 365: What Independent Junk haulers Need to Know

We’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the future of Junk Removal 365.

When we launched this directory, the whole idea was simple: homeowners find your company, they call you directly, you pay a flat monthly fee. No shared leads. No bidding wars. No middleman selling your customers to your competitors.

But after looking at the data, we realized there was a lot of money being left on the table.

So today, we’re excited to announce a major pivot.

Introducing: Shared Lead Forwarding™

Starting today, when a homeowner visits your company profile on our directory and submits a quote request specifically to you… we will also forward that inquiry to every other junk removal company in your service area.

For just $30 per lead.

We believe this creates a healthier, more competitive marketplace. Sure, the homeowner thought they were contacting you. But wouldn’t they benefit from hearing from 10 other companies they didn’t ask about? We think so.

But Wait — There’s More

In addition to your monthly listing fee, you’ll now also be charged a $4.99 “lead processing fee” every time someone submits an inquiry through your own profile page.

Think of it as a convenience fee. For us.

We ran the numbers and this model should be profitable for almost everyone involved. By “everyone” we mostly mean us.

New Premium Add-Ons

We’re also rolling out three new premium tiers to give you more control over the leads that were already yours:

Priority Lead Sharing™ — $19.99/mo Your leads only get shared with 5 competitors instead of 10. Think of it as semi-exclusivity. The “I only got robbed a little” package.

The Exclusivity Window — $49.99/mo You get a 90-second head start before we blast your lead to the entire city. Clock starts when we feel like it. Terms and conditions apply. There are no terms and conditions.

Lead Buyback Program — $75 per lead If you want the lead back exclusively after we’ve already sold it to everyone else, you can repurchase it. It’s a first-right-of-refusal on your own customer. We think this is very fair and not at all insane.

We’re Confident This Is the Future

We know some of you might be thinking: “Wait, isn’t this exactly the thing you said you’d never do? Isn’t this the entire business model you built Junk Removal 365 to fight against?”

Yes. But have you seen the margins?

Happy April Fools’ Day. 🙃

None of this is real. We would rather shut the whole thing down than build that.

Here’s What We Actually Do

We built Junk Removal 365 because the model we just described, (the one that sounds absurd when you spell it out), is basically what the big lead gen platforms have been doing to junk removal business owners for years. And they do it with a straight face.

You pay for leads. Those leads get sent to 10 other companies. Whoever is the most desperate gives the lowest price gets the job. You end up paying $50 for a lead that turns into a $30 couch pickup. If it converts at all.

That’s not a lead generation system. That’s a race to the bottom.

Here’s how Junk Removal 365 actually works:

Them (the platforms we built this to replace):

  • Shared leads sold to multiple companies
  • Per-lead fees that add up fast
  • Bidding wars that kill your margins
  • You compete on price, not reputation
  • Canceling feels like escaping a contract with the cable company

Us (what we actually do):

  • Homeowners find you and call you directly
  • Flat monthly fee — no per-lead charges
  • Your profile, your phone number, your customers
  • Limited featured spots per city so you actually get visibility
  • Cancel whenever you want, no guilt trip, no “retention specialist”

That’s the whole model. It’s not complicated because it doesn’t need to be.

Why We Wrote This Post

Partly because it’s April 1st and we wanted to have some fun.

But mostly because when you write out the lead-sharing model as a joke, it sounds ridiculous. Charging a business owner a fee when a customer contacts them. Selling that same customer’s info to 10 competitors. Adding a surcharge to buy back exclusivity on your own lead.

It reads like satire. But for a lot of junk removal business owners, it’s Tuesday.

If you’re one of them — if you’ve been paying for shared leads that barely convert and you’re tired of the runaround — we built this directory for you.

No shared leads. No per-lead fees. No bidding wars for your own customers.

One flat fee. Homeowners find you and call you directly. That’s it.
