If you’ve been around Taunton yards long enough, you know the routine—half the time you get rushed off the phone, or you feel like you’re bothering somebody just by asking about a part. Arthur’s Auto Junk Yard isn’t like that. Folks keep saying Arthur is **very knowledgeable and fair**, and that tracks with how the place comes across: he talks straight, knows what’s what, and doesn’t play games with you.
And the big tell for me? The phone work. One reviewer spent most of the day calling different junkyards getting the usual rude, rushed treatment… then called Arthur’s and got someone **patient, respectful**, who actually listened. Even when they **didn’t have the exact part**, they didn’t just shut it down—they pointed the guy to another yard that might. That’s old-school, service-first behavior. How many places do that anymore, especially when there’s no sale sitting right in front of them?
Plus you hear the same thing on pricing and attitude: **price’s are not bad**, owner’s **pleasant, hospitable**. Translation in yard terms—no fuss, no weird runaround, and you don’t leave feeling like you got taken. Is it going to be a polished retail experience? Probably not, it’s a junk yard. But do they treat people right and keep it fair. Yeah.
And if you’re hunting body panels, A/C lines, or whatever oddball piece you’re chasing, do you want the place that acts annoyed you called… or the place that helps you even when they can’t help you? Arthur’s stands out for that.
Around here, a yard earns its reputation one phone call at a time—and Arthur’s keeps a good one, from what I’ve seen and heard.
