Big and Small Junk Haul junk removal
10out of 10
(8 reviews)

About this business

Around here, **Big and Small Junk Haul** reads like one of those small outfits that just… shows up and handles it. You know the type: **on time**, no big song and dance, and **easy to work with** because you’re dealing with Peter directly, not a call center. And if you’ve ever tried scheduling junk pickup between a heavy work schedule and life, that part matters more than people admit. Folks keep circling back to ...

Peter did an awesome job. He arrived when promised, held to his estimate price, highly professional, and left my yard completely cleaned when done. I highly recommend you give him a try. Thank you so much Peter!

Rocklin Junk Removal junk removal
10out of 10
(7 reviews)

About this business

Rocklin Junk Removal runs like the kind of small, local outfit that’s built around showing up **on time**, keeping it **easy to deal with**, and not turning junk hauling into a whole production. I’ve seen a lot of crews in this area talk big, but these reviews read like the same pattern you want on a job site: someone calls because their Honda “couldn’t handle it,” there’s a pile from a cross‑state move and garage ...

What customers say

Rob was great! Would definitely use Rocklin Junk Removal again!

Aubrey Applegate

Arrived in a timely fashion, great price, and friendly! Would definitely contact again. Thank you!!

Heroes Junk Removal Demolition and Dump LLC junk removal
10out of 10
(7 reviews)

About this business

Heroes Junk Removal Demolition and Dump LLC is one of those small, owner-led outfits locals pass around by phone number, not by billboard. You see it in the reviews—people get Gabriel’s number from a neighbor, call him, and he actually answers. And then he shows up. On time, same-day, no fuss. They run fast and they run responsive. Folks mention “responded right away,” “very prompt and communicative,” and “able to ...

What customers say

We called him to take some things to the dump. He was very prompt and communicative. I would highly recommend him.

Scott Handley

Heroes was able to provide same-day service, which I really appreciated. AND he was super nice!

Ram's Junk Hauling junk removal
10out of 10
(7 reviews)

About this business

Ram’s Junk Hauling has the kind of local, small-crew feel you notice right away — easy to deal with, on time, and no fuss about the messy realities people actually call for. And it’s not just “they showed up and hauled a couch.” Most of what folks talk about is moving, downsizing, storage units, the “we didn’t realize how much STUFF we had” moments. You know the ones… you’re staring at a pile of unwanted junk after ...

What customers say

I love the light that was placed

Kimberly Piper

Ram’s Junk Hauling was wonderful to work with. They helped clean out the remaining items from my dad’s storage unit and made a stressful task so much easier. Communication was excellent, rates were fair, and they were professional, efficient, and genuinely friendly. I highly recommend them and would absolutely use them again.

Bandidos Junk Removal junk removal
10out of 10
(7 reviews)

About this business

Around here, Bandidos Junk Removal reads like one of those crews that just… shows up and handles it. Folks call because they’ve got stuff that needs to be hauled away—couches, a queen mattress, a treadmill, old appliances, patio furniture, random boxes, “tons of boxes,” you name it—and the pattern in the reviews stays consistent: on time, quick and easy, and straight to work. No fuss. And the responsiveness stands ...

Bros Hauling junk removal
10out of 10
(7 reviews)

About this business

Bros Hauling in Woodland is one of those local, family-owned outfits you hear about the same way you find a good mechanic — a family friend refers you, you make the initial call, and you can tell pretty quick these are the guys for the job. Anthony seems to run point on the front end, and he gives a guess estimate over the phone, then they come out and confirm the price in person. And that “confirm the price” part ...

What customers say

Really quick team, really good price, i recommend them

Albert Baldwin

Really nice local family-owned company. I called bros for a shed teardown and haul off. The gave me an estimate and scheduled to come out the next day for the job. Right before the rain hit. They had the shed torn down and loaded into their trailer in under two hours. They were fast and thorough. I now have space for my garden this year! I am a very happy customer.

Jr landscape & Junk Gone junk removal
8.8out of 10
(7 reviews)

About this business

Around town, **Jr landscape & Junk Gone** reads like one of those small operators you can usually get moving fast when the schedule lines up. Kendall’s **5/5** sounds familiar: called on a **Saturday for a quote**, and they were able to **come out a few hours later**. That’s not “corporate dispatch” speed, that’s a guy who answers his phone, looks at the pile, and gets after it. And the review hits the usual field ...

What customers say

Wonderful company! Called on a Saturday for a quote and he was able to come out a few hours later! Very very reasonable price and it was a super simple process. Highly recommend

Ulysses was supposed to haul junk from my sisters house. He came to the house and took a look at what needs to be disposed. We agreed on a price and he texted to confirm that we want to move forward. I had a 20 min phone conversation with him confirming the work and our plans for the Sunday he is supposed to perform the work. We agreed on a time (7 am start time). The day before we went a text confirming everything. Everything was fine until the morning he was supposed to perform the job. He never showed up, didn’t answer several text, and multiple phone calls. No communication from him even today, and it has been about a week now. Very unprofessional and unreliable. Would not recommend. See screenshot.

AJS Junk Removal and Hauling LLC junk removal
10out of 10
(6 reviews)

About this business

Around here, AJ’s Junk Removal and Hauling (AJS) has built the kind of reputation you only get from showing up on time and doing what you said you’d do. I’ve heard the same line from different people—used them multiple times, always reliable, always professional—and that repeat-customer thing matters in junk removal. Because one good haul is nice, but “never fails” over a few jobs? That’s the real test. And the way ...

What customers say

I hired AJS Junk Removal and Hauling for a junk removal job. I'm happy they showed up on time, were very professional, and offered a fair price. I'm also posting photos of their work so people can see the great job they did. I highly recommend them and would definitely call them again if I ever need junk removed or hauled.

Monaco Cisneros

Very happy with AJS hauling, the pics do no justice and there was way more trash then pics show. Andrew was able to get everything in 1 trip with his big dump trailer, even after I doubted it. He blew the side walks down as well! Easy fast and he was able to jump right to the job! SAVED ME ALOT OF TIME AND A HEADACHE! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

About this business

Around here, **Duncan Junk Removal** comes off like one of those outfits that just keeps it simple: **prompt, efficient**, and **flexible** when your timeline gets weird. And in junk removal, when does the timeline *not* get weird? Folks keep saying the same things in different ways—**on time**, **quick & easy**, **no fuss**. Adrian’s review hits the big one for me: they don’t just show up fast, they stay ...

What customers say

Needed to get my house ready for sell and had let my backyard go to heck. Called up Duncan and Ben was out the next day to make my backyard look brand new in no time at all. Also shipped out all the stuff I needed to take to the dump on the way out. Super affordable for what I had done!

Local Junk Disposal Rules & Recycling Programs in Sacramento

  • In Sacramento, regular household trash, recyclables, and yard waste are typically collected in separate carts on scheduled service days, with carts placed at the curb or alley by around 6–7 a.m. and not set out more than 24 hours before pickup.
  • Bulk items like old furniture, mattresses, and large appliances are often handled through special neighborhood collection events or scheduled bulky waste pickups; residents typically place items at the curb no earlier than the day before and no later than early morning on the scheduled collection day.
  • Many bulky pickup programs in Sacramento have volume limits, often around 5–10 cubic yards per appointment (roughly a pile about the size of a small car or a stack about 6 ft wide × 10–15 ft long × 3 ft high); larger piles usually require extra fees or multiple pickups.
  • Regular household trash (bagged garbage) and recyclables (clean paper, cardboard, cans, and bottles) must go into the proper carts, while bulk items such as sofas, mattresses, and large broken items are set out separately; loose bags of trash or mixed piles of small debris are often not accepted as “bulk” unless properly contained.
  • Construction and demolition debris—such as concrete, bricks, roofing, drywall, and large renovation waste—is typically not accepted in standard bulky pickups and often must be taken to a designated disposal or recycling facility, or handled by a private junk removal or roll-off dumpster service.
  • Residents are usually required to keep sidewalks, bike lanes, driveways, fire hydrants, and storm drains clear when setting out bulk items, placing piles close to the curb but not blocking traffic, mailboxes, or access to utility meters.
  • Hazardous materials like paint, chemicals, automotive fluids, propane tanks, and certain electronics are generally not allowed in regular trash or bulk piles and must be taken to approved household hazardous waste drop-off locations or events.

Because rules and programs can change, residents should always confirm the latest trash, recycling, and bulky item guidelines on the official city or county sanitation website.

Frequently Asked Questions about Sacramento Junk Removal

What kinds of items do junk removal companies in Sacramento usually take?

In Sacramento, most junk removal services will haul away furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, garage clutter, yard debris, and general household junk, as long as it’s non-hazardous and safe for workers to handle.

Will Sacramento junk haulers donate or recycle my items?

Many junk removal companies in Sacramento try to donate usable furniture, clothing, and household goods and recycle metals, electronics, and cardboard whenever possible; ask each hauler about their donation partners and recycling practices before booking.

Do I need to be on-site when the junk is picked up?

In Sacramento, it’s often best to be on-site for your first pickup so you can confirm what goes and approve final pricing, but some haulers will remove clearly marked items from driveways or side yards without you present if payment is arranged in advance.

How far in advance should I schedule junk removal in Sacramento?

Many Sacramento junk removal companies can offer next-day or even same-day service for smaller jobs, but for larger cleanouts or weekend appointments it’s smart to schedule at least 3–5 days in advance, and longer during busy moving seasons.

Will junk removal services take construction debris from my remodel?

Some Sacramento haulers do accept construction and demolition debris like wood, drywall, and tile, but they may charge higher rates and have limits on heavy materials, so you should confirm what they accept and how they price debris before booking.

Can junk removal companies handle items the city won’t pick up?

Yes, many private junk removal services in Sacramento will take items that aren’t accepted in regular curbside or bulky pickup programs, such as large quantities of debris, mixed loads from cleanouts, or oversized items, as long as they are not hazardous.

Responsible Junk Removal in Sacramento

Responsible junk removal in Sacramento means keeping usable items out of the landfill whenever possible. Before throwing things away, consider donating furniture, working appliances, and household goods so they can be reused by local families or community organizations, and make sure metals, electronics, and cardboard are separated for recycling.

To protect Sacramento’s neighborhoods, rivers, and canals, avoid illegal dumping in alleys, empty lots, or waterways, and choose haulers who follow proper disposal rules. Ask junk removal providers about their donation partners and recycling practices, and use Junk Removal 365 to compare local companies so you can find services that prioritize reuse, donation, and recycling over simply dumping everything in the landfill.
