When I called, the owner himself (Pepper) answered the phone--I immediately sensed that Malibu is a well run business, and not one of those super large, impersonal junk removal companies out there. Pepper was very accommodating--he sent a man to pick up a heavy, bulky recliner that afternoon at the home of a friend of mine. To my relief, Pepper assured me that I didn't need to be at the pickup site--I could pay Pepper's man with my credit card over the phone. The pickup started smoothly, my friend was delighted with the friendly Malibu moving man..but due to an internet glitch, my credit card would not go through. Pepper's man finished the job anyway, and a few hours later Pepper called me...and we completed the payment transaction by phone. I can guarantee that most other junk removal companies would not have done this pickup job without payment on the spot! All in all, my experience with Malibu was wonderful (and the price was better than other quotes I received).”
