But you also see the other side of the model. A couple people got stuck with the big arrival window thing—“supposed to be here between 8–12” turning into 5pm, or an “8–5” day where you’re basically waiting around until late afternoon. And one review flat-out says they waited over three hours and still paid the full amount. That’s the risk when dispatching runs through a web service and the actual labor comes from a rotating local team—great workers on-site, but the scheduling can feel a little loose. So if your day is tight, ask yourself: can you handle a wider window, or do you need a hard appointment time with real-time communication?

Pricing-wise, most people land on “reasonable,” “affordable,” and “quick quote online,” which tells me they’re pretty clear upfront on standard pickups—mattress, crib, old fridge, the usual. And then you’ve got that paint pails job—27 five-gallon buckets—where other companies threw “outrageous quotes” and LoadUp actually said yes. That’s a good sign they’ll take on the oddball stuff without making you beg. Yet if something goes sideways, you’re dealing with support email and a corporate-style resolution process, not the owner picking up the phone from the cab of the truck. Does that matter to you, or do you just want the junk gone.

Net-net: when LoadUp’s on their game, they’re responsive, easy to deal with, and the crews work fast and professional; just go in knowing the schedule window can be the weak spot. Around the local service world, that’s the reputation—solid results, occasional waiting, and the guys doing the lifting usually earn the five stars.
