What customers say

I was with BWS for quite awhile. I originally chose them because they did recycling. I called them specifically to verify this and although it took me almost 2 weeks to get the answers to my questions regarding recycling, I still went with them for services. There was no special instructions for recycling, just put it in a separate trash bag, they told me. For awhile I marked the bags with a recycling tag, but then I realized they were throwing my trash and recycling in the same truck. So I called them to verify I was doing the correct thing and how exactly they sorted their recycling. Over a month later, 6 voicemails and 2 emails...still no response. So, one day when the trash came, I went out to speak with them. The women said "I'm too busy to chat right now, call us"...before I could even say I'd done that without luck, she drove off. I was livid and contacted BBB with my concerns. Immediately I was contacted by BWS by phone in which they explained their recycling process: no cleaning required, no special bagging. I was told "we know which bags are recycling by how much they weigh". Like really?? They expect me to believe this? I know how recycling works...any food particles automatically disqualify the entire bag from recycling...If it's in a plastic bag, same thing. Recycling follows pretty strict rules and none did BWS have in place. I was pretty upset that they thought I was that dumb so I did a bit of investigating. Let's just say BWS is NOT in any way recycling and they never did. They are not being honest to their customers and charging like they are doing recycling too...so again I contaxted the BBB. My next pickup I was charged extra for 2 pillows that weren't put in a trash bag. I put out 1 trash bag and 2 unbagged pillows and I was charged extra...LOL I let it go. Then I was charged extra again the following week. I was charged for extra bags eventhough I put out well below my normal. Again, it took me several emails and phone calls to finally get a response. At this point I wanted to cancel my service. They agreed, but then charged me another $15 because they had to reverse the charge for the month they hadn't done yet. I immediately hired another service and caught BWS on my camera yesterday kicking over my trash barrel that was out for the new company. I can't even believe it to be honest. If anyone would like to see the video or see the results from my extensive investigation into their "recycling", let me know. Horrible company.

Routinely leaves bags of trash uncollected. Also have been charged for “extra” bags beyond my plan limit for my bags of recycling that are supposed to be “free”. The lid for my recycling can also has gone missing after a pick up day. Have called multiple times within business hours and have never had a person answer the phone to discuss these issues with. Worst waste service I’ve ever used. Canceling and switching to Waste Management instead.
