Posting this as a warning for future customers: this felt like bait-and-switch pricing and after-the-fact invoice changes. My experience (I have the texts/emails and the original invoice to back this up): * Based on the photos/videos I provided, they quoted USD 550–USD 750. * Once they arrived on-site, the price jumped to USD 1,100, then they offered a 20% “new customer” discount. I agreed to that. * Before any work started, they sent me an invoice for USD 880 (20% off). There were no terms anywhere on the invoice (or in any message) saying the discount required same-day payment. * At 5:10 PM they texted that the job was completed. I was commuting. * Around 8 PM I called to confirm and asked them to send photos ( I am remote landlord) and the invoice again. I also explained I had a temporary credit card issue and needed to pay the next day. On that call, they agreed that next-day payment was fine. * Then at 11 PM, I received an email saying because I didn’t pay the same day, the 20% discount was removed and they would only honor 10% off. They changed the invoice from USD 880 to USD 990. * I told them it’s not acceptable to add a “same-day payment” requirement after the work is done, especially when no such term was disclosed in writing. Their response was essentially: “Show me what law says this is illegal.” I’m not here to debate statutes — I’m documenting the facts so others can decide if they’re comfortable hiring a company that can change the invoice and reduce the promised discount after completion, based on a condition that was never stated.
