What customers say

  • Republic Services failed to collect solid waste in our neighborhood on 5 July 2025. Their own website indicated trash would be collected on this date ( delayed by 1 day due to the 4th of July holiday). There was no notification of a problem or change in schedule . As usual, Republic has demonstrated that it is an unprofessional, unreliable, and unaccountable company.

  • Yesterday, my brother and I set out to tidy up my yard, and after some thought, we decided it would be more practical to take the bags of leaves ourselves to the transfer station rather than let them sit on the curb until late November. When he arrived, he parked the truck on a large scale and ventured inside the scale office. There, he was handed a safety vest and informed that a credit card was required for a deposit—yet he received no further guidance on what to do next. Undeterred, he made his way to the back of the building, where a line of trucks was waiting to unload their cargo. Just as he was about to back into an open spot, another truck swooped in and claimed it for itself. To his dismay, he noticed that the worker who was supposed to be sweeping up the leftover debris paid no attention to the unfolding drama and simply continued with his task. After finally unloading the fourteen bags of leaves, my brother had to circle back to return the vest and re-weigh the truck. To his surprise, the woman behind the counter never presented him with a bill; instead, she charged my credit card a hefty $88.04 without any prior discussion. If only she had asked whether he had been there before and was familiar with the pricing, this frustrating situation could have been easily avoided. I have never encountered a business that charges you before showing you the bill! This entire experience has left me utterly disillusioned with such a dishonest and unprofessional practice. What a truly shocking experience!
