Junk Hauling Services
Junk hauling is the pickup, loading and legal disposal of anything you can't put at the curb — furniture, appliances, construction debris, yard waste, hot tubs, whole-house cleanouts. A crew arrives, carries it out, sweeps up and takes it to a transfer station, recycler or donation centre. You never touch the truck.

What junk hauling costs
Most residential jobs are priced by how much space your load takes in the truck, not by weight. A single item pickup typically runs $75 to $150. A quarter truckload runs $150 to $250, a half load $275 to $450, and a full 15-cubic-yard truck $450 to $700, including labour and disposal fees. Stairs, long carries and heavy materials such as concrete, dirt or roofing shingles add to the price.
Get a number before you book: use the junk removal cost calculator to price your load, or the cubic yard visualizer to see how much space your pile actually takes.
Junk hauling vs. dumpster rental
Hauling makes sense when you want the work done today and you don't want to load anything yourself — the crew does the lifting and the job is finished in an hour or two. A dumpster makes sense for multi-day demolition or renovation, where debris accumulates over a week. Our dumpster rental guide covers sizes, permits and the price crossover point.
What junk haulers take
- Furniture: couches, mattresses, dressers, desks, office chairs
- Appliances: refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves, water heaters
- Electronics: TVs, monitors, computers, printers
- Construction debris: drywall, lumber, flooring, cabinetry, fixtures
- Yard waste: branches, brush, sod, fencing, sheds
- Whole property: estate cleanouts, evictions, foreclosures, hoarding situations
Haulers cannot take hazardous material: paint, solvents, motor oil, asbestos, propane tanks, ammunition or medical waste. Those go to a household hazardous waste facility.
Same-day and next-day hauling
Most companies in the directory offer same-day or next-day service when you call before noon. Ask for a two-hour arrival window, confirm the price is all-inclusive of disposal fees, and confirm the company carries liability insurance before anyone walks into your home.
