“It's your run-of-the-mill garbage dump. They accept batteries & oil too. Any large appliances, bikes, furniture & electronics can be dumped here, just talk to the person in the little cabin where to put it. This is a good place to find scrap too. They consider recyclables as rinsed out: * Hard Plastics * Cardboard, Paper & Wood * Aluminum, Tin & Steal (smaller than a bike Trash is considered to be: * Glass (broken & whole) * Food, plant & biodegradable waste * Soft Plastics (like bags & tape) * Styrofoam * Inseparable materials stuck together * And anything not above”
“Lived here two and a half years and this is the third time they haven't picked my trash up or any of the other neighbors down by a apire Park in the trailer court then you call him they say oh we might be able to get it on a special but they never do see you wait two weeks ridiculous anybody else would be out of business if they didn't come through with contract you paying for”
“I was extremely pleased with the service I received. The woman in the office answered all my questions and did so patiently. She took as much time as I needed. The dumpster was delivered when they said it would be delivered. The driver did an excellent job getting up our narrow driveway. The price was very fair. Everything was done well.”
“We finished our basement and did a complete first floor remodel. We used their 30 yard three times over. I cannot say enough good things about this company they gave us as much time as we needed with the dumpster. I 100% would use this company again their prices were very good! I will be using this company after my parents estate sale as well. It’s nice that they go to Illinois.”
“Cancelled 45 mins prior to a booking to move me no reason no valid excuse just cancelled and I'm out 200 til I can be refunded very unprofessional and un cool. High disregard for others. They stole the name from a hard working American man and use it to get gigs then they cancel.”
“I have never seen a cleaner transfer station anywhere. The staff are 2 of the most helpful, professional and friendly folks I've come across. Extremely impressive. It makes going to the dump fun. How bout that?!”
“Went here a few times on a trip to property we own in Maine. Never had issues until now. We had TX plates. We were told they would not accept our cans from Canada or TX. Told us to get them out of there. Aluminum is aluminum what difference does it make? And we had bottles that clearly said could be recycled in Maine. The girl working was already sorting when told to give it back to us. If our aluminum is not good enough for you to recycle, then it will be trash in your state then. So ridiculous!”
“Gene and team were extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. Their experience really showed. Thanks to their careful prep work and clean up there was literally zero mess. Highly recommend.”
“Who is the company who when you call them? They don’t return your call when you email them they don’t know when you text them. They don’t respond and I use them three or four times. The last three times. I’ve needed them. They’ve never responded. I just thought it was a fluke now I know that they just suck at business.”

Because rules and schedules can vary by neighborhood and change over time, always confirm the latest trash, recycling, and bulk pickup guidelines on the official city or county sanitation website before placing items at the curb.
Most Houston junk removal services will haul away furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, boxes of household clutter, yard debris, and bagged trash, along with small amounts of construction debris like wood, tile, and drywall. Very heavy materials or hazardous waste may require special handling or a different service.
Many Houston haulers try to donate usable furniture, clothing, and household goods to local charities and send metals, electronics, and cardboard to recycling facilities when possible. Policies vary by company, so ask your hauler how they handle donations and what percentage of items they typically divert from the landfill.
In Houston, many companies prefer that you be on-site to confirm what should go and approve final pricing, but some will offer curbside or driveway pickup if items are clearly marked and accessible. If you cannot be home, confirm payment arrangements and access instructions with the hauler in advance.
For standard loads, scheduling 2–3 days in advance is often enough in Houston, especially on weekdays. During busy times like spring cleanouts, summer moves, or post-storm cleanups, it’s wise to book at least a week ahead to get your preferred date and time.
Many local haulers do accept construction debris such as lumber, cabinets, flooring, and drywall, but they may charge higher rates for heavy loads and limit materials like concrete, brick, or roofing. Always describe your project in detail so the company can confirm what they accept and provide an accurate quote.
Yes, many Houston junk removal providers specialize in full home, estate, or office cleanouts and can bring multiple trucks and crew members. These jobs usually require an on-site estimate and may be completed over several trips, depending on the size and access to the property.
Responsible junk removal in Houston means keeping usable items out of the landfill whenever possible. Before tossing everything, consider donating furniture, working appliances, and household goods so they can be reused by local families, and ask your hauler to separate metals, electronics, cardboard, and other recyclables.
Avoid illegal dumping in empty lots, bayous, canals, or along roadways, which can cause flooding, attract pests, and lead to fines. When comparing companies on Junk Removal 365, look for Houston providers that clearly explain their donation partners, recycling practices, and commitment to reuse so you can clean up your space while minimizing your impact on the environment.
